The UK is has locked back down, Italy is heading in that direction, and the US is seeing numbers rise to the levels they were in April/May of this year. What does all of this mean for the traveler? I truly have no idea.
The CDC allowed the No Sail Order to expire at Midnight October 31st, but issuing a host of guidelines that make cruising near impossible. Most Cruise Lines have postponed new cruises until or after December 31st. If you want to cruise now, check your favorite cruise line as they are looking for healthy volunteers to take "test" cruises to show they are safe and to put their new Healthy & Safety Protocols through their paces.
Take heart, there is travel to be had and places to go, you just need to know the rules and guidelines and be prepared for the fluid situation to change without warning. Hawaii is now open to travelers, before October there was a mandatory 14 day quarantine period. Now if you have a state approved negative Covid test 72 hours prior to arrival the mandatory quarantine isn't required. Flights are getting safer as they sanitize between each flight, require masks, but some are filling their plans so be prepared for that. If you want to cruise, Europe has cruises going, but rules and restrictions do apply.
I want my blogs to be entertaining and informative but not a sales pitch for my business. However, during this uncertain time, trust a Travel Agent to plan your trip. The rules are different from country to country, state to state. Travel Agents are aware of these rules and regulations and we have the ability to navigate these crazy waters for you. Also having an advocate to protect you while you travel is also a great peace of mind.
No reason to not start planning a vacation for 2021 now. Dream Big and Plan for fun!
